Rough’in it



So it’s established that we’re packing and transporting unwanted stuff, while trying to make a buck or two out of it (post to follow). But what’s our undertaker (builder) doing?

Answer: rough-in it
Snakes and ladders, of sorts.

We meant the rough-in work for electricity, water and heating. The two guys have been ripping out all the old stuff and doing all the chasing and cabling/piping, meaning that this:
Our lounge after wallpaper stripping but before we uncovered the door.

Transforms to this:

Wires for wall lights and switch cut.


They've also been knocking down useless things now we have the asbestos-free go-ahead.
So at first glance things are getting worse than they started off. But if you look closely, a plan is coming together...
A plan coming together. Slowly.
